china

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

Emailing from China is a breeze. Well, nicotine-heavy and spice-laden, but yes, still a breeze. There’s an internet cafe just across our hotel in the, ahem, wrong side of town. I’m on the second floor, a whole loft of around 350 units with everyone huddled around their business. I was afraid the characters would be in Chinese, so I enlisted the help of someone who was here the night before. Thus, the breeze.

Do you think some people are made of the same soul? I met another one in the strain, and as is usual in my case, I didn’t even have to lift a finger. Like ridges on a gasket to another, everything locked and was in place before I even realized it. Now it’s like perfect clockwork. Why am I being so damn cryptic about it? He’s in my network and I don’t want him to know, hahahaha.

Tomorrow is our last day here, and I have to do a little bit of preening for the camera before we can call it a wrap. By the weekend I’ll be back in Cebu and breathing the same air he is :-) But time away from the silly thing has been agony. Wonder how I will survive Australia :-)

Rambling

Monday, October 3rd, 2005

I spent the entire (well, at least half of it) day hanging out with him yesterday. I’m still giddy, so forgive me for rambling. Was staring at him the entire night. Thank God for moments like those. No, Robert, he has no idea I’m writing about him. I sent him a long message and he goes: "taasa ato oi, wa na gud ko kasabot sa kataas."

Snicker all you want, hahaha, but I’ll see him become a better man soon. Very, very soon. His laugh is so amazingly sexy. Wanted to record it and listen to it before I slept but was too shy to whip out my battered phone. He sat beside me for a photo and blew playfully into my ear with squidbreath. Did I mind at all? Oh you know we only too well :-)

Sorry, Cattski, for leaving without a word. Now everyone knows where I was, haha. My absence spoke volumes. If the emptiness was louder than presence, I’ve really made it then, bwahahaha! These things happen few and far in between for me, so I have to grab every single opportunity. I loved the bisaya song (everyone look out for that one). Ta-ye-yae kang dako, bakakona ka, hahahaha.

He’s starting to miss me like the others. Like you, silly. Aldwin, thank you for that song…I hope I catch on to the tune as well as Ann Manubag did, haha. I’ll stand in the rain na lang. I don’t want him to see me crying :-)

But so far, so good. Not a tear (yet) on account of this future heartbreak.

Salamat lang gyud sa…bombil. Silly private jokes are the best :-)
